Stan Featherstone/Mike Ogram took the win on Mablethorpe MC's Autumn Mist Rally, the first time the event had run in five years. Crews tackled a 150 mile route in Lincolnshire. The start was in the organising club's home town, Petrol was at Skegness and the Finish at Tattershall.
The whole event was timed to the minute and Featherstone/Ogram dropped time at just one control, the fortieth of forty-four, to come home clear winners. Adrian Green/Ian Gibbins took the runner up slot three minutes behind having been late at the same control, which was at Hagnaby Airfield, plus one other timing point.
Top seeds John Wilkinson/Roger Hage missed the very first code board of the night, this gave them a five minute penalty; they added to this with three minutes of time penalties at TC40. They were placed third.
Mark Garraway/Herman Ruijsenaars won the Semi-Expert class and were sixth overall, while, despite having to cut route to stay wihin their maximum lateness, Roger Stonely/Claire Wilson were the leading Novices in ninth.
