Winners: Dan Robinson/Ian Gibbins (Proton Coupe)
Dan Robinson/Ian Gibbins took victory on the Beaver Rally by the narrowest of margins, they finished just one second ahead of Andy Beaumont/Mike Petch. The Beverley & DMC event used 148 miles of Humberside lanes and was run in appalling weather conditions, with sleet and hail falling all night.

As usual the Beaver started slowly with six crews still clean after two time cards, however three sections in the second half sorted out the result. Beaumont/Petch took the lead when things tighten up and were nine seconds ahead at one point, however Robinson/Gibbins got in front with two sections to go and held on to the finish.
John Wilkinson/Roger Hage were the third crew challenging for the win and finished fifteen seconds off the runner up spot.
Tim Rodgers/Mike Ogram were looking for a hat trick of wins in the Beaver but they missed an early route check and finished well down the order.
James Everard/David Jobling had a very short run on their home club's event, they crashed out on the first corner.
