Neither a broken engine mounting nor a collapsed front strut stopped Phil Turner/Owen Dodd from taking the win on Welsh Border CC's Border 100.
They finished the 120 mile Oswestry based rally over a minute ahead of the field despite their Suzuki Swift's problems, which started at around the halfway stage. This was the pairs fourth victory on the Border 100 in eight years.

Glyn Price/Huw Jones had led after the first section but were unable to maintain the pace and eventually just managed to fend off a challenge for the runner up spot from Simon Harrison/Paul Holmberg.
Ian Lloyd/Cyril Jones were the fastest crew behind the winners over the second half of the rally and this pulled them up to sixth overall and the win in the Experts class.
Gremlin winners John Davies/Neil Bevan had a short rally after their Astra broke a bottom arm and Moonbeam winner Ian Roberts went out on the opening section after his Golf's gearbox failed.
A broken bottom arm caused the retirement of Wayne Morris/Paul Middleton's Escort in the second half.
