Martyn O'Connor/Peter Collins took an emphatic win on the Rali Bro Tysul. The Llandysul organised event, formerly the Valley Services Rally, used a 120 mile route in the lanes around the club's hometown. The event started from the Henllan Railway Station.
Top seeds John Davies/Neil Bevan led initially but were then an early casualty when their Astra's clutch blew. O'Connor/Collins took over the lead and came home over a minute clear.
Two lower seeded crews filled the next two spots. From a start number of 38 Gethyn Morgan/Dalis Ifans took second place, while No.58, Aled Jones/Gareth Thomas, were third, they were the leading Semi-Expert crew, twelve minutes ahead of their nearest class rivals.
Gary Jones/Steve Herbert would have taken the runner up spot but were excluded for a give way offence.
It was a tough event, a combination of an intricate route and the use of a number of tracks making the going difficult for crews.
