Winners: Ian Lloyd/Cyril Jones (Subaru Impreza)
Ian Lloyd/Cyril Jones took first place on a very demanding Farrington Trophy Rally. Clwyd Vale MC had laid on a 170 mile route in North East Wales, with two petrol halts, with a single 60 mile section between the two halts.
Baz Green/Rob Jones had held a lead of 23 seconds at the first petrol halt; they could have gone on to win but for an error which saw pick up a three minute penalty for booking in early, they finished third.
Ian Lloyd/Cyril Jones took the lead prior to the second petrol halt and retained it until the Finish.
Gary Jones/Brynmor Pierce had been in second at first petrol but a missed triangle control cost them five minutes and they fell to eighth. Mark 'GT' Roberts/Steve Price finished fourth despite spending some time stuck in a field.
Tony Gush/Owen Dodd were lying third when the clutch failed on their 205. Howard Price/Chris Webber managed only two miles before the gearbox failed on his Escort. While a broken exhaust led to the retirement of Glyn Price/Iwan Jones
