Winners: Robert Waklin/Ric Chalmers (Subaru Impreza)
Robert Waklin/Ric Chalmers took a comfortable win on Sheffield & Hallamshire MC's Jackson Trophy Rally.
John Wilkinson/Roger Hage led initially but a couple of major wrong slots saw them fall down the order and they eventually finish fifth. Guy Robinson/Charlie Wheeldon took over the lead but a combination of a navigational error and an ill handling car saw them withdraw before the halfway mark.
Waklin/Chalmers then took the lead which they were never to loose, coming home four minutes ahead of the field.
Frank Evans/Dan Spittlehouse might have been a threat but they stopped at one point to tow Geoff Henman/Sam Collis out of a ditch. This sporting gesture cost them three minutes and second place. They finished third, with Henman/Collis fourth. Craig Burgess/Lee Burgess having come through to take the runner up spot.
Mick Smith/Rhiannon Blythe took the Novice Class award for the second year running.
