Martin Chidley/Euros Hughes led from start to finish to take the win on the Rali Goffa James Trenholme. Harlech MC's third road rally of the year was a closed to club event for novices, it used a compact 90 mile route which never strayed further than 10 miles from it start at Sarn Mellteyrn on the Llyn Peninsula.
Chidley/Hughes had a clear run to finish a minute and a half ahead of Arwel Jones/Alan Adams. Top seeds Ilid Davies/Gerallt Davies had an unhappy night as they struggled with engine problems. Cars 3 (Arwel Parry/Hayley Jones), 4 (Dave Fuller/Aled Owen), 5 (Alwyn Roberts/Ilid Japheth) and 6 (Iwan ap Llyfnwy/Iolo Edwards) all finished well down the order as they all picked up fails for booking in early at the same control.
Tenth placed Bryn Jones/Nia Hughes were the clear winners of the Beginners class, although Gethin Roberts/Dylan John, competing on their first ever rally, would have taken the category win had they not missed to collect a signature at one control.
