Winners: John Wilkinson/Roger Hage (Mitsubsihi Lancer Evo)

Ryemoor Trophy Rally 2005

Roger Hage took his second successive win on Malton MC's Ryemoor Trophy Rally, this time navigating John Wilkinson to victory in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. They ended the 135 mile North Yorkshire event well clear of the field, however their winning margin didn't reflect that their pace for most of the night was matched by that of second placed Stan Featherstone/Mike Ogram, the 2003 winners of the rally.

Featherstone/Ogram made up for the power deficit of the 205 with their intimate knowledge of the area, however they picked up two punctures on the same section and lost three minutes changing them.

James Hoyles/Iain Tullie just held onto third place from Nick Toplis/Mick Fern, who charged through the foggy second half.

Ed Dentice/Tom Wilcox would have taken third but they missed to spot the final code board of the night; the infringement cost them five minutes.

Dan Willan/Heather Grisedale won the Novice class award, finishing sixteen minutes ahead of their nearest rivals.
