Winners: Seb Pickvance/Paul Hardy (Nissan Primera)
Paul Hardy finished as winning navigator on Dolphin MC’s Wessex Road Rally for the second year in succession when he guided Seb Pickvance to victory.
The top placing had to be decided on a furthest clean tie-break after two crews finished the 135 mile navigational rally with just one penalty mark. Pickvance/Hardy beat Rob Aslett/Mark Collings to the win as they had got to STC15 before dropping any time, Aslett/Collings had picked up their only penalty of the night at STC5.
Kevin Belcher/Anthony Walker finished one mark behind in third, while Phil Kendall/David Coles won another tie break for fourth place.
Dick and Mark Appleton had been clean of any penalties until a navigational error saw them lose nine minutes at STC23.
Neil Lewis/Simon Lassam had led the event in their Lancia Delta HF Integrale before dropping time at STC27, they eventually finished sixth but still won the Semi-Expert class.
The only retirement of the night was Phil Wilkins/Neal Allsopp, who had a driveshaft break on their Peugeot 106.
