Winners: Ian Rooke/Steven Clark (Ford Escort)
Ian Rooke/Steven Clark took their second successive win on Eden Valley MC's Westmorland Rally. However unlike their 2004 runaway win, in 2005 the pairing had to fight hard for first place. They were closely matched throughout the 140 mile event by Les Percival/Richard Todd. Rooke/Steven were always in front but not by very much, the two crews finished 28 seconds apart.
Stan Featherstone/Mike Ogram were also on the pace, but a five minute penalty for a missed route check saw them lose the win and fall to fifth. Alex Willan/Paul Taylor took third place, their best result together to date.
Stuart McNeill/Stuart Lawson won the Non-Expert Class, Dan Willan/Heather Grisedale may have deprived them of the award but they were another crew to miss a route check.
Morecambe Rally winners Pete Tyson/Neil Harrison had been expected to go well but retired in the first half with their Mini suffering from electrical problems.
