Steven John Williams/Lowri Davies led from Start to Finish to win the Rali Bro Ddyfi by two minutes on Saturday night. The event proved a tough test with just four of the top ten seeds making the Finish.
Williams/Davies held a lead of a minute at Petrol over Ian ‘Dude’ Roberts/Gwawr Hughes then doubled their advantage over the Golf crew in the second half. Simon Naughton/Gareth Thomas were in fourth place at the halfway point but slowly reeled in Irfon Richards/Dale Bowen and overtook them in the final sections.
Richard Jerman/Dale Furniss started well but then went off the road and out of the rally on the second section. Adrian Jones/Aled Richards had the front suspension break on their Impreza, while engine problems forced Clive Williams/Dai Richards out.
Punctures spoilt the event for both Dafydd Evans/Carl Jones and Mark ‘GT’ Roberts/Wyn Roberts.
