Medwyn Jones/Merfyn Williams won the Valentine Novice Rally on a tie-break, beating Tom Edwards/Alwyn Jones on engine capacity; both crews had finished the novice oriented event clean of any penalties. Thomas Jones Thomas/Gwilym Wyn Evans dropped just one second to take third.
The premier trophy of the event went to the leading novice crew, the father and son team of Dafydd Hughes/Deio Hughes. They finished in ninth place overall, well clear of their nearest class rivals.
Top seeds for the event Mei Jones/Dylan John Williams were one of the few retirements of the night. They withdrew with gearbox problems while still clean of penalties in the second half.
