Dylan Davies/Dale Furniss emerged from a tight three way battle for the lead to take their third successive win on the Rali Bro Caron.
It was Phil Evans/Steve Herbert who threw down the gauntlet by taking fastest time on the first section. They maintained their lead to the petrol halt, where they were five seconds ahead of Davies/Furniss, with Daniel Jones/Dorian Evans nine seconds further back.
However the leaders got no further as an alternator failure put them out at Petrol. The now two-way battle for the win continued with the crews swapping times throughout the secpnd half, but Davies/Furniss always had the upper hand and came home nine seconds to the good.
Meirion Evans/Stewart Merry finished in third, 90 seconds behind, and took the top Welsh Championship points. Arwel Hughes-Jones/Edryd Evans would have been third but picked up two fails for booking in early at one time control.
Steven John Williams/Lowri Davies lost three minutes when the slid into a field on the opening test. They recovered to finish ninth.
Behind the leading crews, the drive of the rally came from Owain Evans/Arfon Griffiths who, from a start number of 53, took 12th place and the win in the Semi Expert class.
